There is a fantastic amount to see and do in the Newtonmore area. Activities range from skiing, walking and climbing, to
sailing and canoeing.
You can relax in local restaurants, enjoy the scenery by car or by bicycle, or take the funicular
railway up to the summit of Cairngorm, for dinner or just to admire the view.
You can even arrange a flight in a glider should you wish to see the area from the air.
There is the famous reindeer herd to visit, the only reindeer herd in the UK. You might wish to partake of some guided
walks, which can be arranged with a number of operators.
The Insh Marshes are one of the most important wetlands in Europe, only a few miles from Newtonmore.
