Balvatin Holiday Cottages - Directions
Balvatin Cottages are at the south end of Newtonmore.
Approach from Kingussie - drive all the way through Kingussie, followed by 3 miles
of open road takes you into Newtonmore. Drive almost all the way through Newtonmore
(without turning off towards Laggan on the A86), and Balvatin Cottages are just before the
end of the town on the right just before a Cafe.
There is a wooden sign hanging at the entrance.
Approach from the South via the A9 -
Turn left off the A9 at the exit signed for Newtonmore.
The exit is a mile or two after Ralia (signed picnic area).
When you turn off at the exit, follow the road down and round (to the
right), crossing a bridge after a mile or so (single-lane, controlled by
traffic lights).
Follow the road into Newtonmore and just inside the 30mph signs you'll see
a Cafe.
Just past that (next entrance) on the left, is Balvatin Cottages.
